In the Low Beskydy, near Poloniny National Park and river Udava, is a small village Adidovce. The village has 230 residents in 80 houses.
Many people does not discover the beaty of region near Adidovce. However, the hunters come here from all over Slovakia and abroad. The tradion of hunting in Adidovce and nature reserve Ilovnica is very old. It was founded by the aristocratic landlords of family Drugeth and Andrassy.
14 km from Adidovce is city Humenne (bus connection each 2 hours) and 15 km city Snina.
If turn right on the end of village you can make a beautiful walk in the valley Ilovnica. Ilovnica is a nature reserve and biocentre supra-regional importance with an area of 2 160 ha. Through the valley runs the eponymous creek Ilovnica. It rises on the northern slope Patria (533 m asl) at an altitude of 355 m above sea level. In Adidovce, at an altitude of 207 m above sea level, flows in the river Udava. It is a popular place for fishermen. Till 1934 was in order forest railway Ilovnica - Udavske. Now it remains original embankments. Ilovnica is known for rich hunting areas.
If turn left on the end of village to the Tanovy kut in 30 minutes you will be on the Lazy area. They are the ridge meadows. Therefrom you can see the silhouette of the Sninský kamen in the mountain Vihorlat, neighboring municipality Zubne and border zone with Poland and Ukraine. If you do the trip in the summer, you will find plenty of mushrooms and blackberries.
